Good to see Lenny and Yann again..what a comedy tag team. The apparent simplicity of his music hardly defines the power that comes out of it. Anyone lucky enough to have listened to The Sea & The Silence will struggle to put words on his experience apart from a: "it blows me away". We try in vain to understand its mechanisms only to see for ourselves the crushing effects of this electronic substance.

Of course we can dissect the techniques. We realise then that the rhythms linearity gives a wrong impression as they evolve perpetually while staying true to the spirit of the original pattern. The beat escalates and gets more complex without ever losing any substance. I am not even mentioning his "cut science" or mastered use of effects to give life to the beast or his constant atmospheric changes and the incorporation of the singing. From digital hardcore to dark-folk, he brings to some tracks the efficiency of a pop song, which chorus we will hum. He also uses judicious tricks such as sounds inversion, musical instruments swapping their rhythms so that everything changes although nothing does. At every listening, you will try to navigate through the broth of this alchemy and at each time, you will fall over board trying to understand.

And you will be swallowed up by this wild sea, tossed about by the flood tide and the ebb tide of the waves. You will be sucked in, touching the bottom of the seabed, caught in the silence of the depths and then resurface, deafened by the heave crashing against the reef. The Silence will then come to offer you a makeshift raft on which you will catch your breath a bit before the next breaker. Soon you realise that you don't stand a chance against the vast ocean. Soon, worn out, the mermaids singing will captivate you. You will now sink while contemplating the stormy and twinkling surface fade away. And you will let out your last sigh in a ballet of twirling bubbles. You're quite right, I could have said as well that the latest ESA literally "blew me away".

Im pretty much gonna be at the Jagermeister stage from start to finish. I wouldnt mind seeing 10mins of Pitchshifter but I think it's all gonna be about the Carcass.

Also I think I will be making sure I get a good spot for Sigh! I think the music is shit but, well :

* Edit 2.
Those of you that don't know. Jacqui and I (more Jacqui than I) have deceided to have a break (possibly evolving into a break-up). This is due to the health circumstances that have been going on this year for me, Jacqui has started to find this extremely difficult to deal with and is unable to see me unhappy anymore, this being the reason for the situation.

So, at the moment..I have moved out of our home and am back at my parents and have been for the two weeks. My folks went on holiday on Friday to Greece. So things are a bit strange, going back to your childhood home after living away for 9 years is quite strange. So it's safe to say I'm pretty lonely (collecting awwww.).

Therefore, if anyone feels like coming over and visiting a rather large house out in the country and staying with me for a bit..that would be lovely. I go for the operation on Thursday but other than that am here all the time.

I wish I could one day post a happy, positive, meaningless, shit, trivial entry..

I can't see that happening for a while.

My pre-operative assesment for the general anesthetic is tomorrow. The general is for the Cystoscopy in which ill have a camera put inside my bladder. There's also some other lovely stuff that's gonna go on at the same time involving that wonder of the modern man..the prostate. I'm so lucky.

I'm so physically and mentally drained at being in pain. Ive been in discomfort for 6 fucking months without a break! When I went to see the urologist, he implied this may well stay with me forever, but hey it's not dangerous. How am I supposed to acccept that not only can't doctor after doctor fully explain what's wrong with me but also it may well (as with others) be something that will be with me for the rest of my life!!

Infest was actually ok, it was very hard at times but I battled..mostly with the aid of drink. Here i got the best and the worst. I realised who my 'real' friends are..the people who when you look into their eyes, actually have sincertiy. I also realised how much I fucking hate peoples trivial shit..who cares if you got vodkha spilt on your pants you just bought on an overpriced cybershit stall downstairs?! Ill do you a trade..here, ill take your spoiled pants..have some of this pure pain for an hour, it's a fair deal.

I spoke with Andy on Sat about his situation and although ours are completely different and his pain must be a thousand times worse than mine, we agreed theat people are fucking stupid.

Oh and the fact that certain people don't even get back to me after 30 email asking for their help when they offered it in the first place, goddamnit!!!
