A few of you will remember me posting a link to a half written track about 10 days ago which was basically a result of listening to Ulver for two days straight along with generally feeling sorry for myself.

I would really appreciate as many of you lot having a listen as possible and letting me know your thoughts. I've really stepped outside the box on this one and am so proud but still pretty unsure as it's such a massive shift I can't be sure of it's actual relevance.

was fantastic and has really lifted up my respect and faith in the scene. I met NOBODY who I felt were groupies or scene queens. There was no gossiping, no back biting, no overley complicated hairstyles and no agenda's besides supporting the bands and acts that were playing. I made some good friends and felt honoured to be treat so well. Overall I am very happy with the set I played and was humbled by the feedback post show.

This last month has been very hard due to health concerns which have troubled me both physically and mentally. For this reason I almost did not go through with the trip and I have Jacqui to thank for pushing me to do it. I am certainly not out of the woods yet but am glad that I deceided to go as regret can hurt a lot more than whatever has to be endured at the time.

Things is, she has been been found about 700 yards from our flat. Helicopters are everywhere and all the chav familys are off down to the community centre to get pissed and have the celebration disco that's been set up (yeah, that's respectful). Don't know how to feel about this tbh. It's great she's been found but it's not a nice feeling knowing it was going on so close.

I think piecing bits together from the news reports it's probably a bit more innocent that it seems though, eg: Mother of Shannon has 7 children to 5 fathers. Extended family reports that Shannon was unhappy at home, Man that has been arrested is a relation to the stepfather..Do your own maths.

I got a job! I'm gonna be a POSTMAN. Yeah!! No more sweaty offices for me working alongside idiots, corporate ass suckers and gossiping old hags all pushing round the same peice of paper.

No, now I will be pushing many pieces of paper (namely envelopes) through peoples doors. I get to breathe air that's not been through an air conditioner, I get to help old ladys cross the road and tame rabid dogs. Y'know what..as unbelievely SAD as it seems (and I totally acknowledge this) I'm actually looking forward to being a postman!

So, I start on the 27th and I feel I want to travel again (lord knows I wont be able to do much once Ive started, will be working Sats for a fair stretch). I wanna use my time up properley and go somewhere? Any ideas?

...since when did it become the norm for friends of the opposite sex to txt wishes of Valentine happiness on the day of the event? I got two text messages from a couple of female friends wishing me happy Valentines day yesterday, now both girls are fully aware of me and Jaq. So, is it just me that finds this a little odd...almost innappropriate, or is Valentine text messaging the norm and if so when did it start? I understand Xmas day wishes and New year wishes but ??.....

Y'know..I don't care what all the anally retented British critics say...I've just been to see Cloverfield and I thought it was pretty damn good. Sometimes hard to watch co's of the handcam shaky vision thing but this really added to the panic, I think we may have been to the LOUDEST Cinema in Yorkshire too which helped/didn't help at all depending on which way you look at it.

Not sure what the Name 'Cloverfield' has to do with the film though (I've prbably missed something here) and the only real snag is..how the hell did Beth get from Uptown Manhatten to her Midtown flat, undressed and in bed within 5minutes of leaving the party? From my limited experience Uptown to Midtown don't happen in 5minutes.

I just sat through Million dollar baby (one of those films I always wanted to see but never got round to it). I gotta say it's left me a bit of a man mess and yeah..I *mancried on and off for the last 30mins ...harsh man, harsh! REALLY good film though.

Couple of short video's from the Tech Noir show in Newcastle below :

All went very well, took about a studio's worth of stuff up there and after 3 hours (yes 3 hours) drive..I had the dubious job of soundchecking it all. Played a pretty much flawless set which is definitely a first. Played Live beats, guitars and a first time at doing vocals (it's so nice to just scream for 5 minutes instead of queing up 46 patterns in the right order on a sequencer). Nice crowd and lots of em too. Seems like the guys are running a pretty good night there.

Again it was communicated to me by two seperate people about my old nemisis 'self promotion' (or my lack of it). Now I've ALWAYS had an issue with this as I know how much I personally cringe when I see some dude putting 19 posts a day on about how good their shitty demos is and uncountable bulletins about the fact they are half way through another song or that they might possibly maybe be playing a live show in 8 months time. But I'm starting to think FUCK IT. I know I'm good, infact..I know i'm very good. I know that when I stumble onstage I am doing a lot of shit compared to 60% of the rest of the scene and I should applaud myself for that. Most 'projects' taken live consist of Mr Smith taking his Weaopns (Mac's/pc's) onstage and banging the hell out of that 'Caps Lock' key whilst girating and making some badass booty moves to get that crazy live look lol.

So yeah, 2008..I reckon i'm gonna increase the arrogance and see if I have any self respect at the end of it, either that or detaching myself from this scene and going back to my good friend \oo/.

Today my car broke down on the A1 (not the most appropriate road for automoblie failures) we had to wait for 2 hours for the RAC to come out on what I'm pretty sure was the coldest day of the holiday season. Hypothermia set in a little I believe as I couldnt remember how to use the handbrake when the man in the orange coat came.
Got towed back to a garage in Dewsbury..walked home and then realised I'd left my phone in the car (maybe I should do a poll vote on how many of you think that's gonna actually be waiting for me tomorrow).

Maybe 2008 will be better by tomorrow...
